PCIS promotores is an effective rural outreach model involving immigrant leaders from across Pacific County. Promotores help you access resources such as food banks, WIC and health services, SNAP program, health insurance and Apple Health, affordable housing and rental assistance, crisis support, diaper services, WA Working Families Tax credit and much more.
Our promotores have trust relationships with dozens of immigrants in both north and south county. These relationships range the spectrum of ages, cultural backgrounds and genders. Outreach meetings are done wherever is most comfortable: a public space, a library or business, in your home or online. Each promotore is fluent in Spanish and can help review information or complete applications.
Community agencies make referrals to the promotores, and PCIS can refer you to partner agencies who have the resources or expertise to best meet your needs.
