Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

DACA is a deferred action policy created in 2012 and implemented by President Obama via executive action. It is aimed at protecting qualifying young undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children, who are commonly referred to as “Dreamers.”

DACA temporarily shields them from deportation and provides them work authorization with possible renewal every two years.

PCIS provides support for DACA applications and fees. Renewals can be supported now and assistance for first time applications will be provided when the program reopens.

PCIS can pay the cost of an attorney (from our approved list) and application fees for Pacific and Grays Harbor County residents with income at or below the 400% poverty level.
